What our members are saying

We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we are serious about the value of our community’s diversity of thought and experience. We rely on their feedback and encourage their willingness to be community leaders.

We were honored to have our friend, mentor, and beloved Rabbi, Rabbi Julie Jacobs, lead our ketubah kinyan and officiate our wedding ceremony. Throughout the entire process, Rabbi Julie made sure my husband and I, and our families all felt comfortable and at ease as she led us through each procession. Her presence brought a warmth to the day that everyone felt deeply. Her speech during our ceremony was deeply personal and heartfelt, and literally moved everyone to tears! Drawing from her long-standing relationship with my husband and his family and her time with me as my mentor during my conversion process, she created a ceremony that was not only beautiful, but deeply meaningful and we are so grateful to her. Her presence and eloquence added a special magic to the ceremony, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. If you are looking for an officiant who can deliver a personalized, heartfelt, and unforgettable ceremony, Rabbi Julie is an exceptional choice. Her blend of experience, warmth, and genuine care ensures a ceremony that is both special and memorable. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help! ❤️☺️

The Center has been an integral part of our family for three generations. It has always been here for us; through all life cycle events, from births, bat and bar mitzvahs, weddings and all the way through the end of life. We are blessed to continue to be a part of this historic, supportive, caring congregation, as it becomes the Center for Jewish Life at Beth David!

Paula & Alan Saltzman & family

Our family has found a true community in the Center for Jewish Life at Beth David. The Center is much more than a place to send our children to school and attend services. We have found a loving, diverse and supportive community and have reconnected with our Judaism in so many ways that we never could have imagined. Our children are receiving a wonderful Jewish education at The Gordon School, and our entire family is engaged with Judaism on both spiritual and secular levels through programming and community at the Center. We feel so lucky to be part of such a special place.

The Center for Jewish Life has been our sanctuary, a place where our family has grown and thrived. It has embraced our girls from their earliest steps at just 1 to the confident strides of our oldest at 10. This haven, with its warmth and spirit, has truly been a home away from home. The deep bond we share with the members and Rabbi Julie has not only guided us but has woven us into the fabric of a community that feels like family.
